Capturing bird sounds
Since my childhood, I have been fascinated by birds, their sounds, and their behavior. Especially birds of paradise. It is amazing to see how beautiful they are, how unique their behavior is, and the incredible sounds they make. Today, while recording bird sounds, I found this feather. This feather will probably become project 02
“Noh Theatre, one of the most beautiful things you will ever experience.”
To me, Noh Theatre is one of the most extraordinary and beautiful art forms. The music and chanting come together in such a unique and haunting way, and the slow, precise performance brings every moment to life.
Noh is one of Japan’s oldest theatrical traditions, dating back to the 14th century. It was developed during the time of Zeami Motokiyo, who refined its style and philosophy.
Noh is known for its slow, highly stylized movements, minimalistic staging, and use of symbolic gestures. Actors often wear elaborate costumes and carved wooden masks, especially when portraying spirits, women, or supernatural beings.
The performance combines drama, music, and dance. A small chorus and musicians playing instruments like drums and a bamboo flute accompany the actors.
Traditionally, Noh plays deal with themes such as memory, dreams, ghosts, and the passage of time. It was historically supported by the samurai class and is still performed today as an important cultural heritage of Japan.

“I have added a video. Enjoy watching this Noh theatre performance.”
These practices were already common in the Middle Ages: old rags were exchanged for other goods and typically used until they were completely worn out. Disposal was almost unheard of.
Today, in our throwaway society, many products are seen as temporary and are quickly discarded often just because they are no longer in fashion.”
But reusing the original material isn’t the only thing that holds value. Restoring an item using other or similar materials can be just as important. For example, repairing a piece of jewelry so it can be worn again. It may no longer be in its original state, but this new version might make it even more desirable, unique, and beautiful than it was before.
