I design and create objects,most often jewelry, through an intuitive, material-led process. Rather than starting with a fixed idea or drawing, I begin with a material I encounter. From that moment, a form and concept emerge naturally.
I work exclusively with existing materials, often drawn to natural elements for their inherent beauty. I rarely alter them; instead, I follow what the material suggests, allowing each piece to evolve in its own way. This approach is rooted in a quiet, almost Taoist way of thinking accepting, observing, and responding rather than controlling.
I am not formally trained, but I have worked with materials since early childhood. As a child, I was already collecting fragments, stones, antique tiles, found objects and arranging them into my own small “museum.” Today, I continue to collect unusual and vintage jewelry, beads, and materials, which inform and enrich my practice. Alongside this, I also restore purchased jewelry ,not always to its original state, but in a way that makes it wearable and valued again. Through this process, I have developed a practical understanding of materials and construction, guided by the belief that objects do not necessarily need to be discarded, but can be given a renewed life.
My work is influenced by Japanese philosophies such as wabi-sabi and mottainai, embracing imperfection, transience, and respect for what already exists.
